Autumn in Vermont

I could easily spend every autumn in Vermont. This past weekend has been such a dream. My boy friend and I decided back in September that we wanted to truly enjoy the foliage this year and decided to plan a little trip to Vermont. We stayed in the coziest airbnb with beautiful big windows that showed off the beautiful autumnal colors. It truly felt like a dream to witness all the beautiful and vibrant foliage Vermont had to offer.
We drove into Vermont late Friday afternoon, after I was done with my classes. We stopped for food along the way and by the time we reached Vermont, it was pitch dark! We got cozy at our airbnb and were both excited to wake up in the morning and be surprise by the beautiful foliage.
Saturday came and we decided to wake up at 5:30 am to go on a little morning hike. If you ever get a chance to visit Vermont, I definitely recommend the Prospect Rock Trail. It was absolutely breathtaking. The view point is hidden and easy to pass so keep a look out to your right! We sat at the look out for a good while to truly enjoy the beautiful view of the sea of fog and mountains of colorful trees.
After our little morning hike we went into town to and had waffles and pancakes at Little Rooster Cafe, browsed around an antique store, and did some shopping at a local bookstore then headed back to the airbnb to rest! We took a little walk before dinner and then spent the rest of the night cozied in watching Hells Kitchen. The next morning we packed our things and said goodbye to our little weekend home and headed to Equinox Mountain for some more spectacular views.
This was truly a much needed trip and straight out of a movie. I'm already looking forward to spending next autumn in Vermont again, but until then thank you for such a lovely weekend Vermont! See you next time!
